Floy Otelia Pierce

Floy Otelia Pierce, age 100, of Centerton, Ark., passed away on Jan. 27, 2014, in Rogers, Ark. She was born Sept. 23, 1913, in Wattensaw, Ark., to the late Clarence L. and Abbey V. Miles Brians. She was a member of the Centerton First Baptist Church. Floy had been a church pianist for many years, was a member of the Willard Baptist Church Kitchen Band and had retired as a nurse for the Metropolitan State Hospital in California. Survivors include a daughter, Joann Ward of Bentonville; her son-in-law, Joe Clement of Bentonville; a sister, Esther Headey of California; three grandsons, Gary Ward, Jeff Ward, Joe Clement Jr.; three granddaughters, Julie Reynolds, Christy Herbaugh, Cathy Miles; 14 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Pierce; a daughter, Peggy Clement; and a sister, Evelyn Hamm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Centerton First Baptist Church. A visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time. Bro. Stuart Bell and Bro. Clifford Palmer will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Cody Miles, Beau Hergaugh, Greg Goner, Bobby Solis, Christopher Burnside and Kevin Reynolds. Interment will follow in the Centerton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville.
