Fred Howell Foren

Fred Howell Foren, 93, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away Jan. 24, 2014, in Prairie Grove. He was born Aug. 21, 1920, in Strickler, Ark., the son of Lon and Eulla Carney Foren. Fred retired from Ozarks Electric after over 25 years of service. He was a member of the New Sulphur Free Will Baptist Church. Fred served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Bartholomew Foren; and four brothers, Blumer, Garland, Lonnie and Roy Foren. Survivors include one son, Gary Foren of Prairie Grove; one daughter, Jeannie Ward of Prairie Grove; three grandchildren, Andrea Foren, Jonathan Ward and Christy Ray; four great-grandchildren, Madison Vinson, Ashton Bishop, Jackson and Jasmin Ray. Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, 2 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Fall Creek Cemetery in Strickler, Ark. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Ward, Carl Bartholomew, Doug Bartholomew, Carlis Bartholomew, Leonard McMurry, J.G. Ward and Roy English.
