Charles Edward Gore, 77, of Farmington died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born April 18, 1936, in Fulton, Ky., to Dalton Lee and Lillian Ruth Willey Gore. Charles was a longtime member of the Johnson Church of Christ. He was an avid Razorback fan, loved to crappie fish and loved organic gardening. In his younger days, he enjoyed dirt track racing and was always a NASCAR fan. After retirement, he volunteered at Jones Elementary School as a Watch Dog Dad and library aide. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lunita Grisson, Nancy Hawkes and Cynthia Brame. He is survived by his wife, Pat Gore of the home, whom he married Nov. 18, 1972, in South Fulton, Tenn.; five children, Frankie Ball and husband, Dr. Peter H. Ball, Tina Storm and husband, Kenny Storm, all of Farmington, Eddie Gore of South Fulton, Tenn., Tammy Stallsmith of Bartlett, Tenn., Lisa Vaughn and husband, Mark Vaughn, also of South Fulton, Tenn.; three sisters, Melva Dye of Cherry Valley, Calif., Paula Boundrant of South Fulton, Tenn., Dianne Camp of Sheboygan, Mich.; and 12 grandchildren, Katie Phillips and husband, Lincoln Phillips, Hannah Ball, Rachael Ball, Eliza Ball, Matthew Storm, Emily Storm, Jaye Gore, Ashley Stallsmith and Shelby Stallsmith, Josh Daniels, Zach Vaughn, Jessica Vaughn. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Johnson Church of Christ. Interment will be at Stuckey Cemetery.
