Marion Retta Reed

Marion Retta Reed, age 85, of Winslow died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, in Winslow. She was born Feb. 5, 1928, in Brentwood, Ark., the daughter of Charles Renner and Lula Pierce Talley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Reed; and a son, Butch Reed. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Johnson of Greenland, Ark., Betty Lyons and her husband, Roy, and Donna Lutz and her husband, Corey, all of Winslow, Ark.; three sons, Len Reed and his partner, Jamey, of Greenland, Rick Reed and his wife, Marsha, of Winslow, Ark., and Gary Reed and his wife, Donna, of Winslow, Ark.; a daughter-in-law, Helen Reed of Winslow, Ark.; a sister, Oleta Falkner of Farmington, Ark.; a brother, Donald Talley and his wife, Carol, of Winslow, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Brentwood, with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Winslow, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
