Benjamin Brooks Hyatt, 93, died Feb. 23, 2014, in Bentonville. He was born on April 15, 1920, in Ozan, Ark., to the late Benjamin I. and Martha Jane (Tommey) Hyatt. He was the loving husband of Sandra Hyatt. He was an Air Force veteran of both WWII and the Korean Conflict. Ben was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rogers. He accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of 16, and was devoted to Him throughout his life. He enjoyed singing, was an avid reader, traveling and loved spending time with his family. Ben found great pleasure in purchasing and remodeling homes for rental or sale. He is survived by his wife; sons, Alan Huskey of Yorktown, Va., and Jeffrey Huskey of Alpharetta, Ga.; daughters, Valerie Naberhuis of Spirit Lake, Iowa, and Cheryl Williams of Rogers; grandchildren, Daniel and Derrick McFall, Brittni and Courtney Cook, and Heather and Holly Huskey; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, who were very special to him. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Vera Godfrey Hyatt; four brothers; and three sisters. A visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, from 10-11 a.m., with a service to follow at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Rogers Cemetery.
