Colleen 'Kristi' Mossberger

Kristi Mossberger, 53, of Bella Vista passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at Circle of Life Hospice. Kristi was born March 14, 1960, in Salem, Ore., to George Logan and Patsy Pease Logan. Kristi was united in marriage to Doug Mossberger on Jan. 2, 1986, in Portland, Ore. They enjoyed over 27 years together. Kristi was a full-time college student and was 16 credits shy of her bachelor's in psychology. Kristi was a published author and her goal was to get her PHD. She enjoyed canoeing, hiking, walking the Oregon Coast, family, and most of all her grandchildren. Kristi's main joy in life was her family, she was a Lady of integrity and loyalty and was given the gift to see the good in all people; she was full of love and had the greatest sense of humor and positive outlook on life. Kristi will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Kristi was preceded in death by her mother; son, Jacob Mossberger; and adopted daughter, Karrie Price. Survivors include her husband, Doug Mossberger; father; daughter, Sarah Mossberger Carter of Lowell; sisters, Cherri Logan, Laurie Hendricks and Wendy VanSchoonhoven of Oregon; grandchildren, Britani Mossberger of Elkins, Michael and Kaylynn Carter of Lowell. Kristi had a special bond with her cousin, Jody Keiper, "Break the chain," and many other family members and friends. Arrangements have been made through Med Cure in Portland, Ore. Kristi's ashes will be spread at sea in Depot Bay, Ore., her favorite place on the Oregon coast. The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 1201 N.E. Legacy Parkway, Bentonville, AR 72712.
