Harlan Joseph Montag

Harlan Joseph Montag, 79, of Gravette, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at Jamestown Nursing & Rehab. He was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Westport, Wis., to Arthur and Celia Kurshurg Montag. He was a WWII veteran stationed in Germany. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown. He worked for Welch's for 20 years and later, he retired from Allen Canning after more than 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eda Lou Montag. He is survived by three sons, Harold Montag and Tom Montag, both of Tulsa, Okla., and Andrew Montag of Brighton, Mich.; brother, Merlin Montag of Broken Arrow, Okla.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at National Cemetery in Fayetteville with Father Greg Hart officiating.
