Lillian went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 1, 2014. She was born March 27, 1918, in Park Hill, Okla. On Jan. 3, 1940, she married Randolph B. Cookson and moved to California during the summer of 1940. Lillian and Randolph had two daughters, Barbara Ann born on Dec. 30, 1940, and Linda Kay born on Dec. 18, 1946. Her husband, Randolph, died February 1969. Lillian continued to live in Lakewood, Calif., and worked at Okeh Caterers until she retired. She then moved to Huntsville with her sister, Ireva, and brother-in-law, Bob Winner. She and her sister, Vivian, lived with and cared for her brother, Dorther Thompson. She had a home built on a hill, with a beautiful view, just off Highway 412. Lillian lived there for 18 years, where she hosted many a dinner and provided a place to stay for relatives who stopped by from out-of-state. She moved to the Town Branch senior cottages where she lived for five years. She then moved to Countryside Retirement Center, where she lived until her passing. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara from Visalia, Calif., and Linda from DeCatur, Ind. She had six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Lillian had a large extended family, all of which cannot be named. Suffice it to say that her maiden name "Thompson" is on many mailboxes in and around Huntsville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glen Faulkner officiating. Interment will be in Thompson Cemetery, under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, of Huntsville, Ark. Pallbearers will be Phil Thompson, Garry Thompson, J. L. Thompson, Ronnie Thompson, Kenny Thompson and Dwain Thompson.
