Erma Gaye Cox

Erma Gaye Cox, 89, of Oklahoma City, Okla., formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., died on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at the Grace Living Center, Oklahoma City, Okla. She was born on Dec. 16, 1924, in Bristow, Okla., to Lemon Ledbetter and Oleva Dennis Ledbetter. She retired in 1989 from Whitney Oilfield supply in Tulsa, Okla., after 21 years of service. Her professional service included being an officer of the Desk and Derrick Club in Tulsa. She and her husband, Robert Cox, moved to Bella Vista after their retirement in 1989, where they were both members of the Bella Vista Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Nettie Adams. She is survived by three sons, Dennis Cox and wife, Era Jo, of Vienna, W.Va., Robert Cox Jr. and wife, Terri, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Kevin Cox and wife, Janet, of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Edna Champeau of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at the Bella Vista Church of Christ. Burial will be at the Bella Vista Cemetery in Bella Vista, Ark. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
