Charles Everett Kohley Sr.

Charles Everett Kohley Sr., age 96, passed away on Feb. 3, 2014, in Bentonville. He was born Nov. 10, 1917, in Bentonville to the late Charles Robert and Alice Purnell Kohley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the Counter-Intelligence Corps in Japan. He had been state officer in the Masonic Lodge and was the owner and operator of Kohley's Garage. He was married to his wife, Sybil Chamber, in 1939, who preceded him in death in 1983. Survivors include a son, Chuck Kohley of Rhainelander, Wis.; a daughter, Jimmie Gayle Campbell of Parthenon, Ark.; six grandsons; one granddaughter; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church at 2520 S.E. 14th St., Bentonville.
