Elmo Alvin Omohundro

Elmo Alvin Omohundro, age 88, of West Fork passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born July 31, 1925, in Lincoln, Ark., to William Oliver Omohundro and Ruth Mugley Omohundro. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for the Shipley Baking Company for 28 years. He then retired and drove a Greenland school bus for several years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Omohundro; five children, Thomas Omohundro and his wife, Betty, of West Fork, Margaret Ball of Greenwood, Ark., Robert Omohundro and his wife, Maria, of Vineland, N.J., Bonnie Raymo and her husband, Marvin, of West Fork, and Roy Omohundro of Fayetteville; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer E. Omohundro of Greenland, Ark.; a sister, Sue Lynch and her husband, Jim, of Fayetteville; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at Moore's Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Baptist Ford Cemetery.
