Martha Lee Auer

Martha Lee (Stackley) Auer, 83, of Farmington, Ark., formerly of El Dorado, Kan., passed away Dec. 20, 2014, at Prairie Grove Health and Rehab, in Prairie Grove, Ark. Martha was born to Fred and Lilah (Freeman) Stackley on Feb. 14, 1931. She graduated from El Dorado High School in 1949. On June 11, 1950, she married her best friend, Charles Duane Auer. They were married for 50 years. Martha was a rancher's wife and a private duty nurse. She was one of the first to sell Tupperware in the El Dorado area. She was active in the El Dorado Boosters 4-H club both as a member and then a leader. After moving to Arkansas, she worked for Tyson Foods. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was most important to her. Her husband, Duane, preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2001. She is survived by her four daughters and their husbands, Sherry and Chris Carmichael of New City, N.Y.; Kim and Dr. Tim O'Neill of Farmington, Ark.; Deana and Michael Garbow of Clinton, Ark.; Duann and Robert Rhodes of Lancaster, Pa. She has nine grandchildren, three grandson-in-laws and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Dec. 22, 2014, at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado, Kan. A celebration of her life will be held on Dec. 23, 2014 - 2 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado, Kan. Interment will follow at Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
