Eva Jean Androes of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away Dec. 15, 2014. She was born Feb. 22, 1928, in Wichita, Kan., to Richard A. Preston and Anna M. (Walck) Preston, who preceded her in death. Sisters, Lucille Piersol, Edna Green, Ruth Schiefelbein, Esther Quinn, Mary Grace Schellhamer; and brother, Richard Preston also preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, William H. Androes of Bella Vista, Ark.; son, Michael and his wife, Paula, of McPherson, Kan.; daughters, Kathryn Downes and her husband, Ernie, of Kent, Wash., and Jacqueline Androes of Alvin, Texas; sisters, Vera Kay of Levitown, Pa., Mildred Childress of Joplin, Mo.; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Preston of Wichita, Kan. Mrs. Androes had four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She attended St. Bernard Catholic Church, Bella Vista, Ark. She retired from AT&T after 31 years of service. She was a charter member of Tallgrass Country Club, Wichita, Kan.; organizer/coach Beep-baseball for the Blind, Wichita, Kan.; member Bella Vista 18 & 9 Hole Golf women's group; St. Bernard Couples Golf. A Mass of the Resurrection service will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at 10 a.m., with a visitation at 9 a.m. and rosary service at 9:30 a.m. Interment will occur at Calvary Cemetery, Wichita, Kan., in a private service. Arrangements are under the care of Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
