Darwin Morhain

Darwin Morhain, age 67, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, in Bentonville. He was born Sept. 12, 1947, in Grand Island, Neb., the son of Elmer and Opal Watson Morhain. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Maurice "Bud" Morhain; a sister, Verna Stout; and his father-in-law, Harold Fenton. He was a veteran of the United States Army and severed during the Vietnam War. He supported all veterans and was a member of the VFW, DAV and American Legion. He loved claw machines and painting rocks. He also was an avid bowler. He was very proud to lead the veterans parade at Silver Dollar City for the raising of the colors. He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Rogers, Ark.; two brothers, Elmer Morhain of Atlanta, Ga., and Michael Morhain and his wife, Valerie, of Warwick, R.I.; his mother-in-law, Rose Fenton of Lowell, Ark.; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Morhain of Grand Island, Neb., and Georgia Madison and her husband, Clifford, of Tampa, Fla., and their children, Teresa and Tom Yochum of Counsel Bluff, Iowa, Trevor Sok and his wife, Laurie, of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers-in-law, Robert Fenton and his wife, Jeannine, of Hudson, Fla., their children, Brian and Amanda Fenton of Rogers, Ark., and family, Jody and Rusty Johnson of Hindsville and family, and Geno Fenton and his wife, Bridgette, of Lowell, Ark., and their children, Lucas and Brandi Fenton of Lowell, Andrew and Amanda Fenton of Springdale, Ark., Adam and Megan Theesen-Fenton of Lincoln, Neb., and Kameron Cunningham of Goshen, Ark.; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Brutis, Sheba, Patches, Grumpy, Rosco and Bitty. Graveside service will be Monday, Dec. 22, at 10 a.m. at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the ASPCA Organization.
