Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Thomas O. Cline, 57, who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014. The Rev. Bruce Campbell will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing. Mr. Cline was a truck driver for over 40 years. He graduated from Sardis High School and attended Gadsden State Community College. Being an Eagle Scout himself, he was deeply involved in the Boy Scouts of America. Thomas worked with local youth baseball and other sports teams in which his grandsons participated. His hobbies included photography, camping and cooking. Adventure was a big part of his nature; he especially loved the outdoors. He was an avid Alabama football fan and really loved Blues music. There wasn't anyone he came across that he wouldn't help if he could. Mr. Cline was preceded in death by his parents, Yvonne and Clint Cline; and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Cline; children, David Cline and Stephanie Cline; grandsons, Corey and Kyle Cline; granddaughter, Harmonie Cline; brother, Tim (Shannon) Cline; uncle, David Cline; and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cline family at Alabama's Teachers Credit Union. Special thanks to the Tyson family, Chris Ford, Bryan Lambert, Michael Hamilton and several others in the Tyson family. The family will accept friends from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
