Johnny Mac Glass

Johnny Mac Glass, 39-year-old resident of Gentry, Ark., died Dec. 16, 2014, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital. Born Feb. 11, 1975, he was the son of Larry Babcock and Lynne Friend Glass. Johnny was a lifetime resident of Northwest Arkansas. He graduated from Gentry High School in 1993. Johnny was active in high school sports in Gentry. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Arkansas Razorbacks fan. Johnny worked as a cook at the Sonic Drive-In and also worked for Always There Lawn Care. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Virginia Babcock; grandfather, Charles Friend; grandfather, Lyle Glass; one aunt, Pam Friend; and two uncles, Robert Friend and Rick Babcock. He is survived by his mother, Lynne Glass of Gentry; his father, Larry Babcock of Gentry; one brother, Drew Babcock of Gentry; grandmother, Barbara Whitmire of Douglas, Ga.; grandmother, Grace Glass of Gentry; five aunts, Janice Arnold, Betsy Nunn, Susan Osborne, Elaine Whitmire and Jeri Smith; four uncles, James Babcock, Ron Babcock, Charles Friend and Ronald Friend; numerous cousins; and his girlfriend, Courtney Dowdy of Siloam Springs. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Gentry United Methodist Church, Gentry, Ark. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
