Gary Lynn "Bull" Fowler, 68, of Winslow passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, after a long battle with cancer in John L. McClellan Memorial Hospital. He was born May 26, 1946, in Fullerton, Calif., to Gene and Bernice Gibbs Fowler. He was raised by his loving grandparents, J.O. and Lovie Fowler. Gary served in the United States Navy. He was a master plumber. He worked for Fayetteville Plumbing for over 30 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He adored his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lucille Smith Fowler of the home; one son, John Edward Hart of Kansas City, Mo.; three daughters, Susan Carnahan and husband, Hunter, of Farmington, Shannan Fowler of Houston, Texas, and Corrie Calderon and husband, Pedro, of Drakes Creek; one sister, Brenda Sharpe of Mesa, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Western Hills Baptist Church in Fayetteville, with the Rev. James Spanky Goett and Tim Reed officiating.
