Charles R. Keim, 90, of Rogers passed away Dec. 14, 2014, in Fayetteville. He was born Aug. 20, 1924, in Sabetha, Kan., the son of Marvin and Florence Rotz Keim. He was a machinist for Rogers Tool and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Rogers. Charles served in WWII in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Keim. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Rench Keim of the home; children, Deborah Cernech and husband, Martin, of Kansas City, Kan., and Terry Keim and wife, Jan, of Bixby, Okla.; his brother, Dale Keim of Sabetha, Kan.; his sister, Bette Bestwick of Manhattan, Kan.; four grandchildren, Ben, Christy, Jennifer and Chelsea; and six great-grandchildren. While we grieve over the loss of our beloved G-pa, we also praise the Lord because we know, without a doubt, our G-pa is in Heaven singing with the Angels and our Lord. We will always love you, G-pa, and will be missing you until we meet again. Visitation Thursday, Dec, 18, 2014, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Rogers; funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Randy Parks officiating, with military honors by the Rogers American Legion Post 100. Interment will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fayetteville VA Medical Center for the Palliative Care Unit, c/o of Volunteer Services.
