Raymond Donald Johannsen

Raymond Donald Johannsen, 77, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Dec. 1, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. He was born on May 23, 1937, in Gilman, Ill., to Billy Johannsen and Maude Roy Johannsen. He worked for the Public Service Company of Colorado for over 32 years. He was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church. He was a master woodworker, loved to play golf and watch the Denver Broncos. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Bonnie Johannsen of Bella Vista, Ark.; two sons, Scott Johannsen of Denver, Colo., Kurt Johannsen and wife, Marilyn, of Speedway, Ind.; one daughter, Suzette Cachilli; stepsons, Randy Smith of Clearwater, Fla., Timothy Smith of Denver, Colo.; stepdaughters, Melinda Lehmann of Houston, Texas, Laurie Gallegos and husband, David, of Denver, Colo., Alice E. Chapman and husband, Duane, of Honolulu, Hawaii; three sisters, Elsie Coplea, Jean Peterson and Florence Custer, all of Illinois; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark., with Pastor Jeff Reed officiating.
