Robert Charles Webb, 90, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at Jamestown Nursing and Rehab in Rogers, Ark. He was born Jan. 4, 1924, in Miller, Mo., to Warren L. and Fay Webb. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He began selling insurance part time for ANICO while attending college. He graduated from Drury University in 1948 and later received his CLU designation. He worked for UNUM as field director of the state of Missouri, and was transferred to Portland, Maine, as regional director of agencies and later to Chicago, Ill. From Chicago, moved to Philadelphia to join Provident Mutual as vice president manager of agencies, moving to Dallas, Texas, as agency manager for Provident Mutual, achieving company leadership in company production and one of the leading life insurance agencies in Dallas. He took an early retirement in 1985 and moved from Dallas to Bella Vista. He was a 32nd-Degree Mason and a Shriner. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Welzie Webb; and nephew, Mike Webb. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Webb of Bella Vista, Ark.; stepson, Jeffrey Tunks of Fairfax, Va.; brother, Murray Webb and wife, Theresa, of Albany, Ga.; sister, Marjorie Webb of Shawnee Mission, Kan.; sister-in-law, Juanita Webb of Fort Worth, Texas; two stepgrandchildren, Jordan and Bradley Tunks; nephew, Bill Webb of Fayetteville, Ga.; two nieces, Sally Schatz of Albany, Ga., Karen Haun of Weatherford, Texas; and three great-nieces; and four great-nephews. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista, Ark., with Pastor Jaimie Alexander officiating. Interment of cremains will be held at 2 p.m. at Webb Cemetery in Miller, Mo. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
