James E. Williams, 91, died on Aug. 20, 2014. He was born on Sept. 16, 1922, in Wichita, Kan. Jim was married to his loving wife, Betty A. Williams for 58 years before she passed away. They had nine children together. One daughter, Stacy, died when she was an infant. Jim was a coin operator for 35 years in Wichita. During 30 of those years, he and Betty operated Betty's Speak Easy Supper Club in Derby. They retired to Arkansas to live on Beaver Lake where they enjoyed entertaining family and friends. He is survived by eight children, Ronald Williams, Doug Williams, Stephanie Knudson, Michael Williams, Mark Williams, Charles Williams, Richard Williams and Denise Williams; brother, Richard Williams of Seattle; 25 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren. A military funeral service will be held in Seattle at a later date.
