Sammy Nelson Todd

Sammy Nelson Todd, 70, of Springdale passed from this life on Aug. 28, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born Nov. 6, 1943, in Springdale to Marvin and Cecil McCoy Todd. Mr. Todd was a retired auto body mechanic. He attended Faith Full Gospel Church. He will always be remembered as a devoted and loving grandpa. Sammy is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Jerry Todd, Bill Todd and Curtis Todd; and his sister, Sue Yarbrough. Sammy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sharon Todd; his daughter, Carlene Bates and her husband, Ron; two grandsons, Denton Lee Bates and Madison Nelson Bates; siblings, David Todd, Ronnie Todd, Linda Fredrick and Pat Todd; and many other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. The funeral service will be held at Westfield Chapel on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Kelly Yarbrough and the Rev. David Todd officiating.
