Charles L. "Charlie Brown" Watkins, 71, of Rogers passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, following an extended illness. He was born to the late Curtis Riley and Zedia Dorrough Watkins on Feb. 10, 1943, in Fort Smith, Ark. For 38 years he was the loving husband of Ruby Ginn Watkins who survives. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether hunting, fishing or camping. He was a 1962 (1961) graduate of Fort Smith High School, attended UAMS in Little Rock and the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville where he was a member of Kappa Sigma. He was also a Shriner and a Mason, and the owner of Razorback Home Exteriors Inc. Those preceding him in death include his parents; and a brother, Donald Watkins. Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Angela Watkins of Little Rock; two brothers, David (Brenda) Watkins of Fort Smith and Steve (Denise) Watkins of Michigan; a niece, Casie Watkins of Texas; four nephews, David Watkins Jr. and Christopher Watkins of Fort Smith, Jeremy Watkins of Michigan and Joe Watkins of Mississippi; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. this evening and the funeral service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow, all in the chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, with interment in Barron Cemetery in Vaughn.
