Ivan Moyer

Ivan Moyer, 88, of Bella Vista, Ark. went to be with his Lord on Aug. 18, 2014. Born Oct. 29, 1925, in Pine Bluffs, Wyo., to Andrew and Ruth Moyer, he grew up on the family farm, and then at 18 joined the U.S. Navy, assigned to the USS Enterprise. He met his wife, Betty Osborne, while serving as a missionary throughout the Northern U.S. and Canada. They were married on April 15, 1955, in Denver, Colo. Ivan was employed for 32 years by Gates Rubber Company in Denver. In 1990, the Moyers relocated to Bella Vista, Ark., where Ivan was employed by Center Harps Food Store for 15 years. The couple enjoyed golf and travel. Ivan was a faithful servant to his Lord and an active member of Bella Vista Baptist Church. Ivan is survived by his wife, Betty Moyer; daughters, Dawn Martin (spouse, Kevin) and Melissa Keller (spouse, Ronald); four grandchildren, Andrew Martin, Rebecca Martin, Micah Keller and Thomas Keller (spouse, Christina); and brothers, Chester Moyer and Alvin Moyer. Burial will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. on Aug. 30, 2014, at Bella Vista Baptist Church.
