Ardath Bedwell

Ardath Bedwell, 96, a longtime resident of Gravette, entered into rest Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, in Rogers. She was born to the late William L. and Fennie McCutchen Reddell on Oct. 19, 1917, in Cave Creek, Ark. For nearly 54 years, she was the loving wife of Virgil Bedwell. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Orphus, Norman and Conrad Reddell; and two sisters, Loal Wheeler and Violet Hendrix. She is survived by two daughters, Maxine (Gary) Soule of Gravette and Betty (Jay) Jones of Tulsa; two sons, Leroy (Zanetta) Bedwell of Gravette and Troy (Virginia) Bedwell of Booneville; three sisters, Mary Gregory of Missouri, Nalta Lombard and Vernis Hayden of Bentonville; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be begin Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Gravette Church of Christ at 10 a.m. with visitation, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
