Norma Jean Owen

Norma Jean Owen, 86, of Springdale died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014. She was born Oct. 16, 1927, in Delaware County, Okla., to Paul and Ethel Shockley Scott. Norma enjoyed sewing and retired from Daisy Outdoor Products. She was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Don Austin and Shockley Austin; and two sisters, Dorothy Sharpensteen and Nona Starling. She is survived by two sons, Mark Owen of Fayetteville, Kerry Owen of Springdale; one brother, Paul Wayne Scott of Springdale; one sister, Betty Scott of Springdale; two grandchildren, Dallas Owen and Kieran Owen; and one great-grandchild, Elisa Villareal. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at Friendship Cemetery. Arrangements are with Heritage Funeral Home.
