Leah Roberts

Leah Roberts, 87, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at Circle of Life Hospice-Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark. Born April 6, 1927, in Pampa, Texas, to Helen and John Roberts, she lived in Albuquerque, N.M., before retiring to Bella Vista in 1989. Leah was an active member of the Bella Vista Community Church and an avid bowler. She also enjoyed playing cards and entertaining her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; and one daughter, Vicki. She is survived by her sister, Billie McDowell of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sons, James Roberts Jr. of Spokane, Wash., and Gary Roberts of Arlington, Va.; one daughter, Deanna Arden of Boston, Mass.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and by David and Ruth Glass of Bentonville and family. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Bella Vista Community Church on Sunday, Aug. 17, with the Rev. Dr. Anna Teel officiating.
