Dewey Lee Acuff

Dewey Lee Acuff, age 71, of Springdale passed away on Aug. 10, 2014, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Dec. 5, 1942, in Berryville, Ark., the son of John F. and Edna Harvison Acuff. Mr. Acuff was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife, Dorthy Acuff of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Doug Acuff and Sheri of Fayetteville; two daughters and sons-in-law, LaDonna Stevens and Jimmy of Springdale, and Wanda Waggoner and Tommy of Garfield; two brothers, Howard Acuff and Beverly of Hindsville, and Millard Acuff and Lavella of Springdale; one sister, Ruth Kilpatrick and Virgil of Lowell; four grandchildren, Forrest, Callie, Mattie and Becca. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Springdale, with the Rev. Charlie Foster officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral Home. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale. Pallbearers will be Tommy Waggoner, Jimmy Stevens, Jeremy Claypool, Ronnie Kilpatrick, Forrest Acuff and Howard Acuff.
