Arnold Joseph Neuman, 90, of Fayetteville, Ark., died Aug. 9, 2014, in Fayetteville. He was born July 19, 1924, in Green Bay, Wis., to Arnold and Gertrude Neuman. Arnold is a WW II veteran. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers and was part of four invasions in the South Pacific Theatre. He was married to Joyce Gagnon in 1943, mother of his four daughters, and remarried Winona White, mother of his two stepchildren, in 1989. Arnold retired from McClellan AFB in Sacramento, Calif., as an aircraft painter. He is a lifetime member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, a granddaughter and his wives. He is survived by daughters, Suzanne Meyer, Deborah Tanner, Mari Kral and Lisa Neuman; two stepchildren, Eric Grienier and Kim Gilmet; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Arnold is also survived by one sister, Pat Hansen; and one brother, Donald Neuman. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at Beard's Funeral Chapel. A second visitation will be held at East Lawn Mortuary in Sacramento, Calif. A mass of Christian burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Sacramento, Calif.
