Emma Glenda Holloway

Emma Glenda Watson Holloway, 89, of Wesley, Ark., died Aug. 7, 2014, at Shiloh Nursing and Rehab in Springdale, Ark. She was born Aug. 23, 1924, at Cobb Creek, Ark., the daughter of Everett and Nancyann Lawson Watson. She was a Christian and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Huntsville, and was a 1942 graduate of Huntsville State Vocational School. She worked in a defense plant in Wichita, Kan., during World War II. She owned and operated restaurants, helped with farming and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Eugene Holloway, who died on Sept. 9, 2011. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Ilene Bennett. Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jerry and Fink Holloway of Wesley, Ark., Dwight and Cindy Holloway of Chillicothe, Ill., and Stanley Holloway of Istanbul, Turkey; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lana and Wilbert Howell of Springdale, Ark., and Tena and J.B. Canion of Aurora, Ark.; four brothers, Lavon Watson and Loy Watson, both of Wesley, Ark., Kimmy Watson of Huntsville, Ark., and Ricky Watson of Stockton, Mo.; 13 grandchildren, Dennis Howell, Scott Howell, Joseph Holloway, David Holloway, Adam Canion, Brant Holloway, Sharon Holloway Blair, Carrie Canion Butler, Kyle Holloway, Andrea Canion Honeycutt, Shari Holloway Oliver, Levi Holloway and Sean Holloway; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at the First Assembly of God Church in Huntsville, with the Reverends John Martin, Johnny Case and Dennis Brannan officiating. Interment will be in the Drakes Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, of Huntsville, Ark. Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
