Ted W. Coody, 53, of Mountainburg was taken from his family and friends in a single-car accident on Aug. 7, 2014. Ted was born Aug. 29, 1960, in Broken Arrow, Okla. He grew up in the Alma area and was employed as a road driver for Fed-Ex Freight for over 25 years. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, was an avid metal detector, loved to fish and loved to cook. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Coody of the home; his father, Jack Coody of Springdale; his mother and stepfather, Mary and Cliff Ott of Alma; his paternal grandmother, Jewell Wilson of Alma; brother, Steve Coody of Alma; sister, Leesa Ramming of Fayetteville; one son, Aaron Coody of Alma; one daughter, Cassie Harp of Springdale; twin sons, Jared Coody of Alma and Dalton Coody of Springdale; granddaughter, Lydia Coody; grandson, Elijah Crossno; granddaughter, Brooklyn Coody; grandson, Bryan Coody; granddaughter, Isabella Coody; grandson, Korbyn Harp; and grandson, Patyon Coody. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jess and Sarah Mae Coody and John Wiley Wilson; stepmother, Merrilee Coody. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at Ocker Chapel of Alma. Cremation will be under the direction of Ocker Funeral of Alma. The Rev. Scott Reed will officiate. The family will visit with friends from 1 until 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Aug. 10, 2014, at the funeral home, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma.
