Harry Stanley Mossberger

Harry Stanley Mossberger, 78, of Fayetteville passed away Aug. 6, 2014, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville after a long battle with cancer. He was born in St. Louis, Mo., on Nov. 1, 1935, to Stanley and Myrtle Pallardy Mossberger. He was one of 12 children. He grew up in St. Louis, Mo. He proudly served in the United States Army and served in Germany for two years. He spent his professional life working for Kearney Company for over 30 years in St. Louis, Mo., Atlanta, Ga., Tualatin, Ore., Hood River, Ore., Stockton, Calif., and Fayetteville, Ark. Harry was a Christian and a member of Cross Church Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jeanne Classen, Jane Wolk, Myrtle Verity, Marge Haddick, Carol Brandau, Helen Nichols; and grandson, Jake Mossberger. Harry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances "Kay" Goforth Mossberger; three sons, Brent Stanley Mossberger and wife, Terri, of Rogers, Douglas Harry Mossberger of Fayetteville, and Dale Alan Mossberger and wife, Jackie, of Novato, Calif.; five grandchildren, Sarah Mossberger of Lowell, Audrey Mossberger of Washington, D.C., Stacy Mossberger of Rogers, Charlie and Rhea Mossberger of Novato, Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Michael and Kaylynn Carter, and Britani Mossberger. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cross Church in Springdale. Memorials can be made to Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 E. Longview St., Fayetteville 72703. Arrangements are under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, Rogers, Ark.
