Wanetta Ann Alberti, 83, of Springdale passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at her home. Wanetta was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Brentwood, Ark., a daughter of Clarence Oliver Keys and Velvia Flossie Hughes Keys. She was the widow of the late Nestor Alberti, who preceded her in death. Wanetta was a member of the Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale and had retired from the Springdale Memorial Hospital where she worked in housekeeping. She loved telling jokes, playing games, doing various crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by four sons, Ross Chapman of Rogue River, Ore., Kenneth Chapman of Sacramento, Calif., Larry Chapman of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Tony Chapman of Huntsville, Ark.; two daughters, Anne Chapman Martin of North Port, Ala., and Danette Calico of Springdale, Ark.; four sisters, Ruby Smith of San Leandro, Calif., Lavawn Silva of Forrest Hills, Calif., Doris Boyd of Springdale, Ark., and Grace Hughes of Brentwood, Ark.; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters; two brothers; and one granddaughter, Vicky Miesner. Funeral services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 10 a.m. Brother Larry Chapman will officiate the service, with burial being held at the Brentwood Cemetery under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
