Norma Kay Counts, 70, of Springdale passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at Circle of Life Hospice. She was born Nov. 27, 1943, in Wesley, Ark., to Roy and Melissa Denny Powell. Norma was a homemaker. She was a much loved member of the Freewill Baptist Church. She was a faithful minister's wife and assisted her husband as he pastored several churches. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Troy Powell and Lonnie Powell; one grandson, Ricky Roth. Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Loy Counts of the home; two sons, Loy Counts and wife, Becky, of Deer, Ark., and Danny Counts of Fayetteville; one daughter, Norma Price and husband, Marty, of Bella Vista; one brother, Bob Powell; two sisters, Barbara Woods of Huntsville, and Roberta Lee and husband, Jeff, of Tontitown; six grandchildren, Amy Roth, Casey Johnson, Christy Isaac, Tanner Counts, Phillip Price and Erik Price; two great-grandchildren, Camdyn Johnson and Addyson Johnson. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with the Rev. Bill Counts and the Rev. Bob Counts officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
