Jerry "Bill" Phillips, 73, of Springdale passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 29, 1941, in Huntsville, Ark., to William Oscar and Lucille Harper Phillips. Jerry retired from Tyson Foods after 41 years of service, where he was the plant manager of the original Tyson Foods Plant (Randall Road). He enjoyed baseball, golfing, fishing and he was an avid Razorback Fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill. Survivors include his wife, Lou Phillips of the home; one son, Richie Phillips and wife, Shani, of Springdale; three daughters, Sara Breathitt and husband, Pat, Jamie Lothian and husband, Paul, all of Springdale, and Sherri Melissa Hotary of Hot Springs; his mother, Lucille Phillips of Huntsville; two brothers, John Phillips and wife, Joyce, of Springdale, and Jim "Chic" Phillips of Huntsville; and 10 grandchildren, Kurt Phillips, Kason Phillips, Kinley Phillips, Sydney Breathitt, Kaleigh Breathitt, Tyler Lothian, Jordyn Lothian, Josh Hotary, Colton Hotary and Ashli Hotary. Funeral services will be Friday, April 11, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, 1000 N. Gutensohn Road, Springdale, Ark., with Gerald Johnston officiating. A graveside service will follow on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Plumlee Cemetery in Compton, Ark. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.
