Ida Mae 'Granny' McKown

Ida Mae "Granny" McKown, 95, of Springdale passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014. She was born Feb. 10, 1919, in Rudy to the late Jesse Lee and Carrie Kelly. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Sunnyside Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy McKown. She is survived by three sons, Jerry Don McKown of Henderson, Nev., Jim McKown of Springdale and Stanley McKown of Blevins, Ark.; a sister, Joan Redding of Lubbock, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
