Ralph Howard Murphy, 92, of Rogers, Ark., loving and cherished father, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Innisfree Nursing Center in Rogers. Ralph was born Oct. 21, 1921, in Rogers, Ark., the son of T. O. C. and Pearl Deason Murphy. His dry sense of humor and quick wit will forever be remembered. He proudly served in World War II, retired from Tyson Foods and was an active member of Central United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mildred Louise Murphy; his parents; two sisters; and one brother. Ralph is survived by two sisters, Mary Ann Lasater of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Barbara Eastep of Ukiah, Calif.; one brother, John D. Murphy of California City, Calif.; three daughters, Sherry Hardie and husband, Andy, Connie Ciskowski and husband, Randy, and Vickie Boyer and husband, Charles, all of Rogers; four grandchildren, Scott Hardie and wife, Britten, of Rogers, Ashley Hardie of Rogers, Brandon Ciskowski of Dallas, Texas, and Lea Ciskowski of Baton Rouge, La.; one great-grandson, Paydon Hardie of Rogers. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Central United Methodist Church, Rogers, Ark., with the Rev. Jim Keith officiating, with military honors. Burial will be at Rogers Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Meals on Wheels of Benton County, 2004 S. 13th St., Rogers, AR 72758; or Central United Methodist Church "Music Program," 2535 W. New Hope Road, Rogers, AR 72758. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Innisfree Nursing Center for their loving care and compassion.
