Mary Jo Moore

Mary Jo Moore, 74, of Springdale went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 2, 2014, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was surrounded by her daughter, sister, and her pastor. She was born Dec. 10, 1939, in Springdale to Paul and Wanda Lynch Smith. Mary Jo worked for Sam's Club and for Ken's Catering. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She had also served as the President of the Springdale Fire Department's Women's Auxiliary. She married Wylie C. Moore and then graduated from Springdale High School May 30, 1958 on the same day. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and one brother, Tommy Smith. Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Jo Powers of Springdale; one brother, Raymond Smith and spouse Jeanne LeBer of Salt Lake City, Utah; one sister, Paula Wade of Springdale; three grandchildren, Matthew Neagles, Marissa Santana and Elizabeth Powers; brother-in-law, Joe B. Moore and sister-in-law, Theresa, and several nieces and nephews. A gathering of friends will be held at Spring Creek Fellowship Church on Monday, April 7, between the hours of 4 to 6 PM. A Memorial service will take place at the church on Tuesday April 8, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Dr. Rick Grace and Rev. Jim Huffman officiating.
