John Roy Drewry, 62, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away April 2, 2014, in Rogers, Ark. He was born March 8, 1952, in Clarksville, Ind., son of Walter Herman and Yvonne Provow Drewry. John retired from the University of Arkansas as a multi-media technologist and also worked for the University of Tennessee's Information Technology Department in Knoxville, Tenn. He was a volunteer soccer coach for the Bentonville League from 2005 to 2010, and coached many seasons for all four of his kids' teams. Upon retirement, John's wishes were to spend time with his family, travel on a sailboat and live on an island. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Shari Schap. He is survived by his wife, Anne Wang Drewry of the home; four children, Joshua Dale Drewry of Charleston, S.C., Melissa Faye Drewry of Southern Utah, Wesley Herman Drewry of Knoxville, Tenn., and Molly Wren Drewry of the home; two brothers, Pat and Richard Drewry; and one grandson, Cody Christopher Robinson. Celebration of John's life will be Saturday, April 5, 2014, with the receiving of friends at 2 p.m. followed by the memorial service from 3-4 p.m. at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers, Ark.
