Leslie McDaniel, 76, of North Little Rock went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 1, 2014. He was born in Rogers, Ark. to the late Guy Jube and Willella Carrie Lenon McDaniel. He was preceded in death by his parents and second mother Opal Irene Patchell McDaniel. Leslie was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Keenagers and Challengers Sunday School class. He retired from the Vending Facility Program Coffee Shop at Arkansas State Health Department with 41 years of service. He served as president, treasurer and board member of the Vending Facility Program. He was appointed by previous governors to serve on the Division of Services for the Blind board up until he retired in 2002. Leslie was a loving and caring husband. He was always willing to help others; he will be missed by all those who knew him. He had a passion for animals and he loved to travel. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Sarah McGhee McDaniel; sister, Mary Ellen Patchell Williamson (Willie) of Batesville, Ark.; his brother, Edward Patchell (Barbara) of Rogers, Ark. and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, April 4, 2014 at First Assembly of God, 4501 Burrow Rd, North Little Rock, Ark. 72116. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
