Reinhold 'Bill' Drittler

Reinhold "Bill" Drittler, 96, of Fort Smith, Ark., passed away March 30, 2014, at the Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. Reinhold was born on April 23, 1917, in Lamar, Ark., a son of the late Fred and Lena Drittler. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Springdale, Ark. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Nora M. Drittler; and 11 brothers and sisters. Reinhold is survived by four children, Larry Drittler of Fort Smith, Ark., Ron Drittler and wife, Debbie, Linda Gordley and husband, Bryan, all of Springdale, Ark., and James Drittler and wife, Anna, of Lowell, Ark.; and seven grandchildren, Shannon Robbins, Brandon Gordley, Krystal Gordley, Tanya Foster, Josh Foster, Zach Conner and Amber Conner. Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at the Salem Lutheran Church in Springdale at 11 a.m. Pastor Mark Krause will officiate the service.
