Billie Jean Nicholson, 79, died Sept. 24, 2013, in Rogers, Ark. She was born on Oct. 22, 1933, in Paragould, Ark., to the late Milam Blake and Orene (Wood) Rogers. She was the loving wife for over 59 years to Jack Nicholson. She worked for Walmart in the Associate's Store for many years. Billie enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, flowers, animals, cooking for an "army" even if there were only a couple of people, and spending time with her family and friends. She also had a new-found passion for helping stray cats have a better life. Billie is survived by her husband, Jack Nicholson of Rogers; son, Terry Nicholson of Broken Arrow, Okla.; daughters, Lynne Gadd and son-in-law, Mike, of Belton, Texas, and Jackie Mulkey and son-in-law, Chuck, of Cave Springs; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Vernon "Skeet" Rogers; stepbrother, "Son" Rogers; and sisters, Diana Jarrett and Sandra McChristian. Memorial services will be on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Christ's Church on Arkansas Street in Rogers. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home.
