Richard Alan Friedman, 70, of Huntsville, Ark., died Sept. 18, 2013, at Northwest Medical Center of Springdale. He was born Sept. 24, 1942, in Waukegan, Ill., the son of Lawrence E. Friedman Sr. and Alma Pollack Friedman. He was a retired audio visual technician with Columbia Audio Video, and if he wasn't on the lake, he was in the woods, and loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Lawrence Friedman Jr., Charles Friedman and John Friedman. Survivors include his wife whom he married on May 16, 1959, Alice Wright Friedman of the home; four daughters and sons-in-law, Debra Lynn and Richard Coari of Salem, Wis., Kathleen and Barry Ordway of St. Mary's, Ga., Christine and Dennis Cozzi of Lakevilla, Ill., and Patrica and Bruce Weiher of Bristol, Wis.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Judith and Joseph Trujllio, and Mary Ellen and Mark Ellis, all of Las Vegas, Nev., and Nancy and Don Schreiber of Gurnee, Ill.; one sister-in-law, Michaeline Friedman of Elm Springs, Ark.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Faulkner officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Campground Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, at Huntsville. Pallbearers will be Jason Coari, Matthew Coari, Ronald Marek, Benjamin Cozzi, Benny Jones and Travis Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Coari, Barry Ordway, Dennis Cozzi, Bruce Weiher, Bill Friedman, Craig Veckey, Leo Plewa, Jack Vance and Norbert Friedman. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home with the family present.
