Katherine B. Barker

Katherine B. Barker, 70, of Elm Springs died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at her home. She was born April 25, 1943, in Hazel Valley, Ark., to Ewell Jackson and Audie Melinda Evans Napier. Katherine was a homemaker and a member of Elm Springs Assembly of God. She liked playing bingo and going to yard sales. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Clyde Barker. Survivors include one son, Jack Arthur Barker and wife, Carla, of Fayetteville; one daughter, Melinda Trimble and husband, Pete, of Springdale; one brother, Arliss Perry of Fayetteville; one sister, Ocie Ann Norrid of Elm Springs; five grandchildren, Paula and Adam Trimble, Gleneva, Twila and Rachel Mayes and Sheldon Barker; and 12 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Elm Springs Assembly of God with Pastor Glenn Trusty officiating.
