Margie Lauer

Margie Lauer, 78, of Chipley, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City. Margie was born Feb. 3, 1935, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Morgan and Edna Faye Massey. Margie had lived in the Panhandle for five years since coming from Bentonville, Ark. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bentonville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Lauer; son, John Rawlings III; daughter, Belinda Rawlings. She is survived by her six grandchildren, Tara Thompson (Greg) of Sunny Hills, Fla., Ellen Flagala of Houtson, Texas, Luke Rawlings of Kansas, Stephanie Lane (Jesse) of Graceville, Fla., Chuck Thompson of Arkansas, Derek Thompson (Meghan) of Arkansas; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Young of Sunny Hills, Fla., William and Wesley Lane, both of Graceville, Fla. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Bentonville Cemetery in Bentonville, Ark., with the Rev. Benny Thompson officiating. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley directing.
