Juliann Matthis Conrow passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013. She was born in Tulsa, Okla., to the late Pollyann and Julius Matthis on Jan. 10, 1938. She graduated from Webster High School in 1956. She briefly attended Oklahoma A & M. She married the late John William Conrow in 1962. Julie spent the first years of marriage living in Olathe, Kan., where she worked as a secretary at the Kansas School for the Deaf. Bill and Julie moved to Fayetteville, Ark., in 1965. She spent many long and wonderful years working at Fayetteville High School. She began as a secretary in the counselor's office before working in the main office. She loved working with all the students at Fayetteville High and had many fond memories of this time. She then worked at Health South Rehab Hospital until her retirement. Julie was a member of Central United Methodist Church and an active member of the Asbury Sunday school. She loved old movies, old houses and anything that involved her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jack Miller; her husband, Bill; one son-in-law, Benny Spears; and granddaughter, Heather Spears. Julie is survived by two children: daughter, Karen Rorex and husband, Bryan, of Fayetteville; son, David Conrow of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew and Hannah Spears. A service will be held on Friday, Sept. 13, at 2 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church at 6 West Dickson St., Fayetteville, Ark.
