David James Hamilton, 55, of Garfield, Ark., passed away May 12, 2013, in Golfito, Costa Rica. Memorial services will be held Sunday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. at the boat dock of Bill and Julie Neighbors, off of Highway 127 on Hyden Road in Garfield, Ark. David was born on June 1, 1957, in Wichita, Kan., to Roscoe and Edna Hamilton. He was named after David, in the Bible. He is survived by a daughter, Ivy Hamilton of Rogers, Ark.; two sisters, Sandra Janine and Patty Joyce; his brother, Ronald Hamilton of Kansas. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Hamilton; and his parents, Roscoe and Edna Hamilton. David was a deep thinker; a great listener and he gave his heart completely to those he loved. He loved being on the Beaver Lake and enjoyed driving his classic Land Cruiser with the top down, listening to Alison Krauss and Sarah McLachlan. The "love of his life" was his daughter, Ivy Hamilton. David's favorite song was "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." He loved singing it at the top of his lungs and acting like he was playing the ukulele. We will all remember the David we loved and how he touched our hearts so deeply with his love.
