Earl Peterson

Earl Peterson, 91-year-old resident of Decatur, Ark., died Oct. 26, 2013, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab. Born Feb. 25, 1922, in Decatur, Ark., he was the son of James Calvin Peterson and Linnie Mae Beal Peterson. Earl married Frances Dill on Feb. 27, 1943, in Gentry, Ark. He was a lifelong cattle farmer and raised chickens for Peterson Industries. Earl was a charter member of the Decatur Assembly of God Church and was a deacon for many years. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Peterson and Ed Peterson; and three sisters, Ina Jones, Edna Austin and an infant sister. Survivors include his wife, Fran; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, Ark. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.
