Ronald Barton

Ronald Barton, 71, of Bella Vista, Arkansas passed away at his home on October 25, 2013. Ronald was born January 23, 1942 in Algona, Iowa to Harry R. Barton and Irma Ann (Hauptman) Barton. He was raised and educated in Algona and graduated in 1960 from Bishop Garrigan High School. He married Janice Intermill on November 1963. He began his career working on Hot Rods and became active in racing on the Minnesota and Iowa circuit. He began working as a mechanic on the Jim Edgington Racing team in the 60's and 70's. He was inducted into the Kossuth County Dirt Track Hall of Fame in 2010. He worked for NAPA Auto Parts for numerous years in Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Joyce Woods and Marilyn Moore. He is survived by his wife, Janice Barton of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two sons, Robert Barton of Bella Vista, Arkansas, David Barton of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one daughter, Cheryl Ball and her husband Bill of Bentonville, Arkansas; one sister, Barb Metzger of Algona, Iowa and one granddaughter, Grace Ball. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rosary Service at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Bernard Catholic Church of Bella Vista with Father Barnabas Maria-Susai officiating.
