Robert "Bob" Ervin Ford, 84, of Rogers passed away Oct. 22, 2013, in Bentonville. He was born July 22, 1929, in Lamoni, Iowa, the son of Lilburn Ray and Edna Alice Bassett Ford. After retiring from AVCO Aeronautics in Nashville, Tenn., he worked 14 years at Bekaert in Rogers and eight-and-a half years at the Pleasant Crossing Walmart in Rogers. Bob served in the United States Army and served one year in the Korean Conflict. Bob attended the First Baptist Church in Lowell. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Jean Ford of the home; son, Sam Fairchild and wife, Melinda, of Avoca; daughters, Norma Dean and husband, Jim, of Nashville, Tenn., Jackie Walls and husband, Brooks, of Smyrna, Tenn., Kimberly Kebert and husband, Joey, of Lowell and Christie Pope of the home; eight grandchildren. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Lowell, with Brother Gary Thomas officiating. Military honors will follow the service.
